STORY OF A STATE | CLASS ACTIVITY | IX-XII
An engaging in-class activity titled “Story of a State” was conducted on May 5, 2026, during the Zero Period for students of Grades IX to XII at St. John’s School, Greater Noida West. The activity was organised to promote awareness and appreciation of India’s rich cultural diversity and heritage.
Students participated in groups of five to six under the supervision of their respective class teachers. Each group was assigned an Indian state and presented its unique identity by highlighting aspects such as culture, history, traditions, cuisine, festivals, monuments, famous personalities, and achievements. The presentations were made through a variety of creative formats including charts, models, posters, PowerPoint presentations, storytelling, and speeches.
The activity encouraged teamwork, research skills, creativity, and public speaking among students while deepening their understanding of the diverse cultural landscape of India. Students participated enthusiastically and showcased well-organised and informative presentations.
