St. John’s School, Greater Noida West, in collaboration with ANON Global Foundation, hosted a workshop on June 26, 2024, for its teachers. The workshop, titled "Understanding Neuroscience for Well-being," was conducted by Dr. Arti Girdhar and Ms. Shammi Proothi. This session focused on mental health and provided valuable insights for teachers on how to create a welcoming environment for students returning after the summer break.
The workshop began with engaging warm-up activities that involved all the teachers, setting a participative tone for the session. Ms. Shammi Proothi then elaborated on the significance of mental health and the role of neuroscience in promoting well-being. She explained that wellbeing encompasses various dimensions, including physical, mental, cognitive, social, and spiritual health. These aspects collectively contribute to a balanced and healthy release of different chemicals in our bodies.
Ms. Proothi emphasized that fostering well-being means utilizing one's full potential and navigating life's complexities by appreciating and embracing them. The session highlighted the importance of a holistic approach to health and its impact on personal and professional life.
During the event, the school's Principal, Ms. Reeja Ninan, was honored with a memento by Ms. Arti Girdhar, Founder and President of ANON Global Foundation. Principal Ms. Reeja Ninan expressed her gratitude for the enlightening session and presented them with tokens of appreciation. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Saba Zaidi. Overall, the session was a rich tapestry of experiences for the teachers, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to prepare their students for the future with multidimensional strength.
