Love, respect, and kindness always win - let's build a world where everyone feels safe within.
St. John's School in Greater Noida West took a significant step in ensuring the safety and well-being of its youngest students by conducting a comprehensive workshop by our mentors - Ms. Shilpa Mishra and Ms. Mithlesh Pandey on "Good Touch and Bad Touch”. The workshop was divided into two sessions, one for the Nursery class students held on October 9th 2023(Monday), and the other for the KG students on October 10th 2023(Tuesday)
The primary aim of this workshop was to educate the young learners about the concepts of good touch and bad touch, teaching them to distinguish between the two, understand the importance of personal boundaries, and empower them with knowledge on how to handle uncomfortable situation.
The workshop began with a simple and child-friendly explanation of good touch (like a hug from a loved one) and bad touch (an unwanted touch that makes them uncomfortable). The children were sensitively introduced to the concept of private parts and were taught that these parts are special and should not be touched by others.
Engaging role-play activities were conducted to make the learning experience interactive and fun filled. To reinforce the lessons taught, an age-appropriate animated movie was screened, depicting scenarios related to good touch and bad touch. This visual aid helped children understand these sensitive topics better.
St. John's School's initiative to conduct this workshop reflects their commitment to providing a secure and supportive learning environment for their students. It is a testament to the school's dedication to the holistic development and safety of its kindergarten department.
