Theme : Ramayana Character Puppet-Making Activity
“Creativity is intelligence, having fun, and every creation tells a beautiful story.”
The students of Classes III to V took part in a fun-filled and creative Ramayana Character Puppet-Making Activity organised by St. John’s School, Greater Noida West, to celebrate the auspicious festival of Dussehra. The activity aimed to encourage creativity, artistic expression, and an understanding of the timeless values of the Ramayana.
The activity began with an introduction to the significance of Dussehra, a festival that symbolises the victory of good over evil. The students were encouraged to reflect upon the inspiring values of truth, courage, kindness, righteousness, and devotion depicted in the epic Ramayana.
As part of the activity, students enthusiastically designed colourful finger puppets of their favourite Ramayana characters, such as Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, Lakshmana, Lord Hanuman, and Ravana. They brought these legendary characters to life through their imagination and artistic skills.
The activity provided students with an engaging platform to explore their creativity, develop fine motor skills, enhance hand-eye coordination, and express their ideas through art and craft. It also encouraged them to appreciate Indian mythology and cultural traditions while learning valuable life lessons from the Ramayana.
The activity concluded on a joyful note, leaving the students with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation of the timeless teachings of the Ramayana.
Through this creative endeavour, the students celebrated the spirit of Dussehra by learning, creating, and embracing the eternal message of the victory of good over evil.
