The Kindergarten Department of St. John’s School celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and excitement through a special assembly conducted by LKG-A. The theme of the day was “White Colour Day.”
The little ones participated in the assembly with great confidence and enthusiasm. They spoke about the significance of Independence Day and learned how our brave freedom fighters fought with courage and dedication to help our country achieve freedom. The children also presented a patriotic song and performed a lively dance, making the celebration joyful and memorable for everyone.
Following the assembly, engaging Independence Day-themed activities were conducted in each class. The children participated enthusiastically and enjoyed learning through creative activities.
* Nursery: Flag Making with Hand Printing – children created beautiful tricolour flags using their handprints.
* LKG: Ice Cream Stick Flag Making – children used ice cream sticks to create and decorate the Indian National Flag.
* UKG: Tricolour Indian Map Colouring Activity – The children coloured the map of India in the Tricolour, helping them develop an understanding of our country while expressing their creativity.
The children also enthusiastically participated in a colourful Tricolour Parade.
The children thoroughly enjoyed these hands-on activities and enthusiastically participated throughout the day. The celebration provided them with a wonderful opportunity to understand the importance of Independence Day, the value of freedom, and the contribution of our freedom fighters in an age-appropriate and joyful manner.
It was a day filled with learning, creativity, patriotism, confidence, and lots of smiles, making the Independence Day celebration truly special for our little learners.
