“India’s true beauty lies in its diversity—different cultures, traditions and states, yet one nation, one spirit.”
St. John’s School proudly organised an “Incredible India” theme-based competition to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, diversity, traditions and unity of our country. The event provided our young learners with an opportunity to explore and showcase the uniqueness of different Indian states.
The competition was conducted on 12 August for Nursery and LKG, where the children beautifully showcased various Indian states through vibrant costumes, cultural representations and enthusiastic presentations. On 13 August, the UKG students showcased the Seven Sister States of Northeast India—Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.
The little participants dressed up in colourful traditional attire and presented the distinctive culture, food, festivals, dance and traditions of their respective states. Their confidence, enthusiasm and creativity added charm to the event.
The competition was a wonderful learning experience that helped children appreciate India’s unity in diversity, develop confidence and communication skills, and understand the importance of respecting different cultures. The event truly reflected the spirit of “Incredible India.”
