INDIA’S FREEDOM NEWSLETTER – INDEPENDENCE DAY ACTIVITY | GRADE IX & XI

 

As part of the Independence Day celebrations, St. John’s School, Greater Noida West conducted the classroom activity “India’s Freedom Newsletter” for students of Classes IX and XI on 14th August 2026 during the Zero Period.

 

The activity encouraged students to explore India’s journey to independence through research, writing, creativity, and visual presentation. Students prepared newspaper-style articles related to Independence Day, researching their chosen topics beforehand and presenting the information creatively on A4 sheets.

 

Using sketches, headlines, illustrations, and thoughtfully written content, the students transformed their classrooms into vibrant spaces of historical reflection and patriotic expression. The activity helped students deepen their understanding of India’s freedom struggle while developing their research, writing, presentation, and creative skills.

 

The initiative served as a meaningful tribute to the nation’s freedom fighters and encouraged students to reflect upon the values of freedom, unity, democracy, and responsible citizenship.
