“Through colours and verbs, we painted a canvas of language understanding in Hindi kriya Chart-Making Activity.”
On October 27,2023, St. John’s School organised an engaging and educational Hindi Kriya Chart -Making Activity for students in grades 3 to 5. The objective of this activity was to enhance students ‘understanding of Hindi verbs (Kriya) through a creative and hands-on approach. Students were encouraged to browse through the provided reference books to select Hindi verbs they found relevant or interesting. They illustrated these words using vibrant colours and creative designs. They were prompted to make the visuals as expressive as possible to convey the meaning of the verbs. Below each illustrated verb, students wrote a brief explanation or sentence using the verb in context. This helped them how the verb is used in sentences. The activity fostered creativity among the students, allowing them to showcase their artistic and linguistic skills. Presenting their work in front of peers helped boost students ‘confidence. Students found the activity to be enjoyable and gained a renewed interest in the Hindi language.
The Hindi kriya Chart-Making Activity conducted at St. John’s School was an educational and enjoyable experience for students. It not only deepened their understanding of Hindi verbs but also sparked creativity. Such interactive activities play a crucial role in making language learning more engaging and effective.
