World Youth Skills Day
“Learn more and expand your horizons more and the more skills you have the better your career can be.”
Youth is the future of this world and to shape a world of dreams, the youth must arise, act and put their skills to use in building a positive society. With this very aim, young and energetic St. Johnians of Grade 11, celebrated World Youth Skills Day which is marked to raise awareness about Youth Skill Development and bettering the conditions for the youth in case of unemployment or underemployment.
The students conducted a special assembly wherein they laid focus on the strength of the Youth and how brushing up their skills would go a long way in transforming the world. An array of performances such as speech, skit, dance enactments and songs by the students amazingly projected the theme of the year 2023 -which is ‘Learning to learn for life and work’.
While discussing the essence and importance of this day these youngsters urged everyone to unite in recognizing the potential of young people as catalysts for change and commit to providing them with the skills and opportunities they need, to build a prosperous and sustainable world for all ……with a promise that, together we can shape a brighter future where no young person is left behind.
