St.John's School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with great zest and enthusiasm. To commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation - Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, students of Kindergarten engaged in various activities like clay modelling, singing patriotic songs, and listening to stories related to the Mahatma's life. The celebration commenced with Bapu’s favourite hymn, ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’, followed by a brief introduction to Gandhiji. His role in achieving freedom for India was also discussed by the teachers. This was followed by a screening of short animated films based on his life and teachings. Finally, as a hands-on activity, the children made ‘SPECTACLES’ with clay, guided by their teachers. Students were keen and happy to learn about this great leader from Indian history, and enjoyed the day thoroughly.
