FELICITATION OF INTER-HOUSE FOLK MUSIC COMPETITION WINNERS | GRADE IX-XII

To celebrate the rich and diverse folk heritage of India, St. John’s School, Greater Noida West organised the Inter-House Folk Music Competition for the students of Classes IX–XII on 21st May 2026. Based on the theme, “Echoes of India: Celebrating Folk Traditions Through Music,” the competition provided students with a platform to showcase India's vibrant musical traditions while nurturing their vocal talent and cultural appreciation.
Representing their respective houses, participants enthralled the audience with soulful solo folk performances, adorned in traditional attire that reflected the essence of the regions they represented. Their melodious renditions, confidence, and stage presence created a vibrant cultural atmosphere and highlighted the timeless beauty of Indian folk music.
After a keen evaluation, Carmel House emerged as the winner, represented by Mridul R. Sharma (IX E) and Riddhi Gupta (IX C). Horeb House, represented by Sashrika Chaurasia (IX C) and Advika Srivastava (IX D), secured the second position, while Tabore House, represented by Aaradhya Sharma (IX B), bagged the third position.
The competition was a resounding success, fostering confidence, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for India's rich cultural heritage through the universal language of music.
