FELICITATION OF INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION WINNERS | Reverberation AUFBAU 2.0

Students of St. John’s School participated in the event organised by St. Paul’s School, Hauz Khas, Reverberation AUFBAU 2.0, held under the theme Think. Lead. Innovate., a platform designed to place students at the frontier of scientific change. The Science and Mathematics Department initiated this model-making competition to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and nurture future innovators committed to the vision of a Viksit Bharat—a developed and self-reliant nation. Only working models were permitted, ensuring that entries demonstrated true application of scientific concepts.

The competition took place on 4th December, where the participants from St. John’s School showcased their scientific aptitude through their innovative working model titled ROAD RANGER – 4-Way Smart Traffic Communication System with Controlled Tyre-Deflation Mechanism. Their model presented a modern solution for efficient traffic management, highlighting the role of automation in improving road safety and discipline. Using an Arduino-based system, it operated a four-way traffic signal with programmed LED sequencing. The standout feature was the servo-controlled spike mechanism that rose during red lights and lowered during green, preventing signal jumping and promoting responsible road behaviour. This working system illustrated how real-time automated control can minimise congestion, reduce accidents, and contribute to smarter urban transportation.

The team, Ishika Patel (XI B), Anindita Das (XI B), Swarnika Saini (XI B), and Kanishk Sharma (XI A), was mentored by Ms. Neha Trehan in this venture, whose guidance and support strengthened their innovation. Their efforts earned them the 1st position, bringing great pride to St. John’s School.
