On 26/07/2024, students of Class 1 & 2 at St. John’s School participated in an engaging ‘Best Out of Waste’ activity focused on paper bag making. This hands-on activity not only encouraged creativity but also provided valuable lessons in environmental responsibility.
All students participated with great enthusiasm, eagerly diving into the process of transforming discarded paper into functional and decorative paper bags.
This experience was instrumental in their experiential learning journey, allowing them to:
- Develop Fine Motor Skills: Through cutting, gluing, and decorating, students honed their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Foster Creativity:The activity encouraged them to think creatively and design unique, personalized paper bags.
- Enhance Problem-Solving Abilities: Students had to figure out how to best utilize the materials provided, enhancing their problem-solving skills.
- Build Environmental Awareness: By understanding the value of recycling, students gained a greater appreciation for sustainable practices.
