“Save Earth today for a better tomorrow”
We at St. John’s School, Kindergarten, celebrated Earth Day, Green Colour Day, and Bagless Day with great enthusiasm through a special assembly conducted by the students of UKG-A. The assembly aimed to create awareness among our little learners about caring for our planet and adopting eco-friendly habits.
Highlights of the Assembly:
1. Special Assembly by UKG-A:
The students of UKG-A presented a meaningful act where they took out harmful things from a big Earth model to show how these make our planet sad, and replaced them with good practices to make the Earth happy. The act beautifully conveyed the message of protecting our environment.
2. Class Activities:
Nursery: Children enjoyed a fun balloon dabbing activity and created a beautiful Earth using blue and green colours, expressing their love for the planet. Kids participated in a leaf plucking activity which is useful for building nature awareness and love for the environment, developing fine motor skills and improving hand-eye coordination.
LKG: Students made happy and sad Earth faces by sorting pictures of good and bad things for the environment, helping them understand what keeps our Earth clean and safe.
UKG: Children participated in a sorting activity where they identified good habits (like planting trees) and bad habits (like throwing garbage on roads) and pasted stickers accordingly, reinforcing positive environmental actions.
3. Green Colour Day Celebration:
All children came dressed in green, symbolizing nature, growth, and harmony with the environment.
4. Bagless Day:
Students enjoyed a joyful learning experience without school bags, engaging in creative and activity-based learning throughout the day.
The celebration was filled with learning, creativity, and awareness, encouraging our young learners to love, respect, and care for Mother Earth.
