JAL PAKHWADA | CBSE ACTIVITY | GRADE VI-XII
In observance of Jal Pakhwada 2026, circular shared by CBSE, under the theme #CatchTheRain – Every Drop Counts, the school organized a series of activities to promote water conservation and sustainable living among students. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation across various classes through engaging and meaningful activities between 16th April and 30th April.
Students of Classes VI to XII took a pledge during the Zero Period, committing themselves to responsible water usage. Class IX students participated in an E-Banner Challenge during their computer lab periods, creating digital posters on water conservation. A House-wise debate competition for Classes IX and XI was held on April 24, 2026, where students discussed important water-related issues. Additionally, a painting activity for Green warriors was conducted on April 27, 2026, encouraging students to creatively express their ideas on saving water. The SMC meeting was held to propose and plan water conservation initiatives in the school.
A community-based activity involved all students, who demonstrated water-saving practices at home and submitted photographic evidence. The Bal Sansad activity for selected students of Classes VI to VIII was also conducted, where students discussed and proposed solutions to water challenges. The programme concluded with a celebration recognizing participants and winners, reinforcing the message of conserving every drop of water.
