CAREER COUNSELLING WORKSHOP | GRADE XII PARENTS & STUDENTS
A Career Counselling Workshop was conducted for students and parents of Grades XII to provide guidance on making informed career choices in today’s evolving world. The session was led by Ms. Sushma Singh, a corporate professional with 21 years of experience, who shared valuable insights into the expectations of the corporate sector and emerging career trends.
The workshop highlighted the importance of choosing a career based on interest and aptitude rather than external pressure. Students were encouraged to develop clarity, self-awareness, and decision-making skills while understanding the changing dynamics between generations and workplace expectations. Key concepts such as the rapidly evolving career landscape, the impact of technological advancements, and the idea that small choices can lead to significant outcomes were discussed.
Students were introduced to a wide range of career opportunities across various streams, along with emerging fields such as data science, cybersecurity, investment banking, and civil services. The session also emphasized essential employability skills, interview readiness, and the need to focus on solving real-world problems.
