STUDENTS’ WORKSHOP | CAREER COMPASS: NAVIGATING FUTURE CAREERS | GRADE X-XII
A workshop titled “Career Compass: Navigating Future Careers” was conducted on April 20, 2026, at St. John’s School, Greater Noida West, for students of Grades X–XII. The session was led by Prof. Dr. S.K. Roy, a distinguished academician with a Ph.D. in Management, a Gold Medal in Economics, and a Silver Medal in Business Administration from Banaras Hindu University. He has extensive industry and academic experience, along with significant contributions in research and publications.
He introduced the concept of VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) to highlight the importance of adaptability. Students learned that a career is a combination of job, passion, and aspiration, and were encouraged to identify meaningful interests aligned with long-term goals. Four major career paths—employability, entrepreneurship, family business, and higher studies—were explained. The speaker also emphasized essential skills such as decision-making, communication, adaptability, and critical thinking. Success was described as a blend of attitude, knowledge, and skills, with attitude playing a key role. Overall, the workshop was informative and helped students gain clarity about career planning and self-awareness.
