WORLD HERITAGE DAY | SPECIAL ASSEMBLY | GRADE VI A, VI B
On 16th April, the students of Classes 6A and 6B conducted a special assembly to mark World Heritage Day, followed by a meaningful CBSE activity highlighting the importance and meaning of Vande Mataram.
The assembly commenced with the morning prayer, creating a calm and respectful atmosphere. This was followed by the thought of the day, emphasizing the need to preserve our rich cultural and natural heritage for future generations.
Students presented an informative speech on the significance of World Heritage Day, explaining how it is celebrated worldwide to promote awareness about protecting historical monuments, traditions, and cultural diversity. They shared examples of India’s famous heritage sites and spoke about our responsibility as citizens to safeguard them. The students also presented a poem that beautifully expressed pride in our nation’s heritage.
Adding vibrancy to the assembly, students performed a graceful dance showcasing India’s rich cultural traditions. The dance highlighted the beauty and diversity of our heritage and was appreciated by all present.
Following the assembly, a CBSE activity was conducted focusing on Vande Mataram. Students explained its meaning, historical significance, and its role in inspiring freedom fighters during India’s struggle for independence. They highlighted how the song symbolizes love and respect for the motherland and uphold the values of unity and patriotism
The assembly and the activity were insightful and inspiring, leaving students with a deeper understanding of both heritage conservation and national pride.
