St. John’s School, Greater Noida West, has consistently emphasized the importance of expanding the horizons of learning for both its teaching and non-teaching staff, enabling them to guide students toward greater academic and personal achievements. Upholding this commitment to professional development, a workshop titled “Sharpen Your Skills, Elevate the Impact” was organized for the teachers on Friday, 6 March 2026, in the school auditorium.
The session was conducted by Mr. Lucky Puchhrat, a renowned professional speaker, life coach, communication skills expert, and the Director and Founder of Maverick India Solution. With his engaging style and insightful approach, he captivated the audience while emphasizing the profound role of teachers in shaping lives and influencing generations.
During the workshop, Mr. Puchhrat elaborated on the significance of three essential teaching skills and highlighted how teaching possesses a broad and lasting influence, often creating a ripple effect that shapes society. He emphasized that teachers serve as role models whose actions, attitudes, and values significantly impact students. The concept of mutual growth between teachers and learners was also discussed, underscoring the idea that teaching is a continuous journey of learning.
He further stressed the importance of self-study as a means of professional renewal, explaining that regular learning enhances the effectiveness of teaching, builds professional confidence, and promotes autonomy and self-assessment. According to him, self-reflection is not merely an option but a necessity for educators striving to improve their teaching practices.
The session also shed light on various teaching pedagogies and the importance of adopting diverse instructional strategies to enhance classroom engagement. Mr. Puchhrat provided valuable insights into both summative and formative assessments, explaining how these methods help evaluate and support student learning in meaningful ways.
Towards the conclusion of the workshop, he introduced the powerful concept of “The Aggregation of Marginal Gains,” encouraging educators to focus on small but consistent improvements in areas such as attention, awareness, learning, thinking, and reflection. He emphasized that these incremental enhancements collectively lead to significant growth in teaching effectiveness and overall impact.
The workshop proved to be highly engaging, interactive, and intellectually stimulating, leaving the participants inspired and motivated to refine their professional practices. The session concluded with the presentation of a sapling as a token of gratitude to the resource person by the coordinator, Ms. Shipra Vohra. The formal vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Saba Zaidi, who expressed heartfelt appreciation for the enlightening session and the valuable insights shared with the faculty members. The workshop truly served as a meaningful platform for reflection, growth, and renewed commitment to excellence in education.
