With hearts full of pride and joy, St. John’s School, Greater Noida West celebrated Republic Day along with the Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on Friday, 23rd Jan 26. The day was thoughtfully planned to instill a sense of patriotism and help our little learners understand the importance of the Republic of India in a joyful and age-appropriate manner.
The celebration began with a special assembly, where children participated enthusiastically and performed a beautiful patriotic dance, filling the atmosphere with national pride. Through simple explanations and stories, teachers spoke about Republic Day, helping children understand why it is celebrated and the values it represents.
Children were also introduced to the life and sacrifices of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, one of India’s greatest freedom fighters. Teachers shared inspiring facts about his courage, leadership, and love for the nation, making the learning meaningful and memorable for young minds.
To further strengthen learning through activity, flag unfurling activities were conducted in each class, followed by engaging classroom activities:
Nursery children enjoyed colouring the National Flag, enhancing their recognition of national symbols.
LKG children did colouring of tricolour badges, learning about the significance of the three colours.
UKG children expressed their creativity through thumb printing on tricolour kites, combining fun with learning.
The day was filled with learning, pride, and joyful participation, leaving the children with a deeper sense of respect for the nation and its heroes. The celebration truly helped sow the seeds of patriotism in the hearts of our young learners.
