Waste segregation is the identifying, classifying, sorting of garbage and waste products in an effort to reduce, reuse and recycle materials. On Monday, 25th July 2022, St.John's School Greater Noida, with the help of CHINTAN Environmental Research and Action Group, conducted an awareness program for class IX students on waste segregation. The program was informative and interactive, providing an opportunity for the students to understand the reality of plastic pollution and why waste segregation is crucial. Students learnt about the five “R” practice, which can bring about a positive change in this aspect:- “Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle”. We believe and hope that by spreading the word we can contribute in preventing pollution.
