SANSKRIT SLOKA GYAN COMPETITION WINNERS | GRADE VI-VIII

The Sanskrit Department conducted the Sanskrit Śloka Gyaan Competition to enrich students’ understanding of classical literature and to nurture their appreciation for the wisdom contained in ancient Sanskrit scriptures. The event aimed not only at perfect recitation but also at testing the students’ knowledge, meaning, and interpretation of the slokas.

Participants from various classes showcased their talent by chanting slokas with accurate pronunciation, proper rhythm, and commendable confidence. Along with recitation, students also explained the meaning, moral values, and relevance of the slokas in daily life, demonstrating a deep understanding of the spiritual and philosophical teachings.

The competition was judged on pronunciation, clarity, explanation, presentation, and overall comprehension. The participants impressed the judges with their devotion, discipline, and insightful interpretations of each verse.

The event concluded with encouraging remarks from the judges, who praised the students’ efforts and highlighted the importance of learning Sanskrit as a gateway to India’s rich cultural heritage.
