ANNUAL DAY - VARNANJALI | SENIOR WING
On 22 November 2025, St. John’s School, Greater Noida West, unveiled the grand finale of its two-day Annual Function VARNANJALI: Illuminating Minds Through the Chromatic Symphony of Words, presented by the Middle and Senior Wings—an evening where words glimmered with eloquence, colours breathed with vibrancy, and imagination unfurled in its most resplendent form. The concluding day unfolded with majestic grace as the Middle and Senior students commanded the stage, captivating the audience with performances both luminous and enthralling, bringing the celebration to a sublime artistic crescendo. The celebration commenced with welcoming the Chief Guest and other esteemed dignitaries along with the audience. The occasion was honoured by the gracious presence of His Grace Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios, Metropolitan of the Diocese of Delhi, Chairman Reverend Father T. J. Johnson, the Principal Ms. Reeja Ninan, Vice Chairman Mr. Varghese George, Trustee Mr. P. K. Thankachan, Secretary Mr. P. D. Daniel, priests from various parishes, principals and sisters from neighbouring schools, and educators from the parent institution. A ceremonial Guard of Honour was given to all distinguished guests.
The evening began with a soulful Prayer Song, followed by the ritual of lighting the lamp. The school offered a heartfelt tribute to Late Lamented His Grace Dr. Paulos Mar Gregorios, the first Metropolitan of the Diocese of Delhi, and His Grace Job Mar Philoxenos, the second Metropolitan—honouring their profound intellect, compassionate leadership, and enduring contribution to societal upliftment.
It was also announced that The Sophia Society has instituted the prestigious 8th Dr. Paulos Mar Gregorios Award, to be presented to eminent scientist Dr. Tessy Thomas, the Missile Woman of India, at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex on 30 November 2025. The school prayed for divine blessings for the event’s smooth and successful conduct.
A warm and gracious Welcome Address was delivered by Principal Ms. Reeja Ninan, who also presented the Annual Report for 2024–25, eloquently highlighting a year marked by significant growth, notable achievements, and shared accomplishments. The celebration commenced with an elegant Welcome Dance, followed by a soul-stirring tribute as the school choir reverently commemorated 150 glorious years of Vande Mataram with their melodious rendition.
The theme of Varnanjali came alive through a lyrical Theme Song, followed by the inspiring address of the Chief Guest, His Grace Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios, whose scholarly insights and encouraging words infused every young mind with renewed motivation and purpose.
A moment of pride followed with the felicitation of the distinguished guests and the honouring of meritorious students, including the achievers of Class XII, CBSE Session 2024–25.
The performances that followed seamlessly infused the essence of Varnanjali into a resplendent tapestry of colour, creativity, and expressive brilliance. The essence of the day started with the new world of books -a library wherein diverse hues of performances showcased the core value of wisdom earned from each words written in the all sorts of books. Profound moments from the Bhagavad Gita was recreated by the sacred dialogue between Arjuna and Lord Krishna. The next presentation beautifully illustrated how imagination merges with innovation, guiding the audience through humanity’s remarkable journey—from nomads to nurturers, and from thinkers to trailblazing innovators.
The evening advanced to a compelling Shakespearean interlude from As You Like It—the iconic Seven Ages of Man—which held the audience spellbound. Each portrayal radiated artistic finesse, celebrating imagination, creative brilliance, and the limitless possibilities of the human spirit. The evening drew towards its close with the Vote of Thanks by the Senior Coordinator Ms. Krishna Singh, followed by the soulful rendition of the School Song and the National Anthem. As the celebration concluded, hearts brimmed with pride and gratitude. Varnanjali—a celebration of colour, learning, and creative brilliance—left an enduring glow of inspiration that will continue to resonate long after the night’s final applause.
