“Good nutrition is the foundation of lifelong health, and healthy habits begin in childhood.”
The kindergarten department of St. John’s School, Greater Noida West, celebrated National Nutrition Week from 8th to 12th September with the purpose of nurturing awareness about healthy eating among young learners. The week-long celebration highlighted the role of balanced nutrition in a child’s growth, development, and overall well-being.
A thoughtfully designed meal plan was introduced, encouraging children to bring different nutritious dishes each day—from fresh fruits and vegetable sandwiches to parathas, beetroot puris, and wholesome salads. The colourful variety of meals not only made lunchtime enjoyable but also helped little ones understand the value of balance and variety in their diet.
Throughout the week, children participated with great excitement, learning the benefits of each food group. This initiative instilled in them the idea that healthy eating is not just about filling the stomach but about fueling the body with the right energy.
The celebration turned out to be a delightful success, as it combined fun, learning, and awareness, paving the way for children to adopt nutritious food habits that will serve them throughout their lives.
