St. John’s Schools, Greater Noida West, in collaboration with St. John’s Model School, Mayur Vihar, New Delhi celebrated the Joyous festival of Onam on 6th September 2025 with great splendour and enthusiasm in the school. The programme was graced by the presence of Chairman Reverend Father T. J. Johnson, Vice Chairman Mr. Varghese George, Trustee Mr. P. K. Tannkachen, Secretary Mr. P.D Daniel, Principal Ms. Reeja Ninan, and Headmistress Ms. Limmy Shubin from St. John’s Model School, Mayur Vihar, New Delhi.
The celebration commenced with the Lord's prayer, lighting of the lamp and a warm welcome address which was followed by a vibrant student-led welcome dance performance “Curtains Up, Hearts Open!”. The atmosphere came alive with the soulful song “Echoes of Tradition through Every Note” presented by St. John’s Model School, Mayur Vihar. The Hon’ble Chairman then delivered the presidential address, inspiring the gathering with his words of wisdom.
The cultural programmes reflecting Kerala’s rich heritage featured a graceful dance performance, ‘Grace in Every Move, Story in Every Step,’ along with a soulful musical rendition, ‘Echoes of Onam, Carried in Every Note,’ presented by the host school. The festivities continued with another enthralling dance performance “Tradition in Motion, Culture in Rhythm” by St. John’s Model School, Mayur Vihar. Tokens of gratitude were presented to the teachers of both schools as a mark of respect and appreciation followed by insightful words shared by the school leaders.
The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, the rendition of the National Anthem and the traditional Onam Sadhya bringing the celebration to a close with joy, unity and a festive spirit.
The event truly embodied the essence of Onam – harmony, prosperity and togetherness.
