St. John’s School celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam with a special assembly held on 4th September 2025. The program beautifully showcased the cultural richness and traditions of Kerala, spreading the spirit of joy, unity, and prosperity among students and teachers.
The assembly began with a prayer, followed by a thought for the day that highlighted the values of togetherness and harmony. Students presented a speech on the significance of Onam and the legend of King Mahabali, reminding everyone of the importance of humility and equality. A graceful traditional dance performance depicting Kerala’s culture mesmerized the audience. The highlight of the celebration was the colorful presentation on the Pookalam (floral carpet), symbolizing prosperity and happiness.
The assembly concluded with a message of unity and gratitude, encouraging students to embrace cultural diversity and celebrate festivals with love and respect. The celebration left everyone with a sense of joy, togetherness, and festive cheer.
