TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

“A good teacher is like a candle—it consumes itself to light the way for others.”

The spirit of gratitude and celebration was beautifully showcased on the occasion of Teacher’s Day at St. John’s School, held in the school Auditorium on 4 September. The entire event was gracefully organized and executed by the enthusiastic students of Class IX, whose collaborative efforts made the celebration both heartfelt and memorable.

The celebration commenced with the Lord’s Prayer, invoking blessings for all, followed by a warm and gracious Welcome Speech delivered by the Deputy Head Girl. Her words set the tone for the program and ushered in a vibrant Welcome Dance Performance, which captivated the audience with its energy and grace.

One of the most thoughtful highlights of the event was a soulful portrayal of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, enacted by a student who eloquently shared his profound philosophy, principles, and inspiring message for both students and teachers. The performance served as a reminder of the noble purpose of education and the indispensable role of educators in shaping young minds.

The atmosphere further resonated with emotion as the school choir presented a lyrical rendition that left the audience spellbound. Their melodious voices in harmony truly uplifted the spirit of the celebration.

The program concluded on a thoughtful note with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the Deputy Cultural Secretary, who acknowledged the contributions of every individual who made the event a success. The celebration ended with the National Anthem, filling the auditorium with a sense of pride and unity.
