“Festivals are the celebration of togetherness, of culture, and of colours that bring joy to young hearts.”
Janmashtami and Orange Colour Day were celebrated with great enthusiasm on 18th August 2025 (Monday) at St. John’s School, Greater Noida West. Children looked vibrant and cheerful as they came dressed up in bright orange attire, symbolizing warmth and energy.
The celebration began with a morning assembly, where the teacher narrated the story of Lord Krishna. Children listened with curiosity and joy as they learned about Krishna’s childhood leelas. Soon, the atmosphere was filled with happiness when all children danced together on devotional songs, spreading festive cheer.
To make the day more engaging, different creative activities were planned for each class. Nursery students made and decorated colourful paper flutes, LKG children decorated matkas using various decorative materials, while UKG students made beautiful crowns (mukuts) and adorned them with glitter and sequins.
The celebration was truly a fun-filled and memorable experience, giving children an opportunity to learn about cultural traditions while enjoying creative activities.
