A hands-on workshop on “Waste Management” was conducted by the Hindustan Times Pace for its subscribers in St. John’s School, on 30.07.2025, aiming to instill the values of sustainability and creative reuse among students of class VI-VIII. The session was both engaging and educational, providing students with practical insights into reducing, reusing, and recycling waste.
During the workshop, students enthusiastically participated with the resource person Mr Surinder Kumar, in activities such as making eco-friendly bags using old newspapers and creating beautiful wall hangings from used and discarded materials. These activities not only enhanced their crafting skills but also helped them understand the importance of giving a second life to waste items.
The session effectively conveyed the message of environmental responsibility and encouraged students to adopt simple yet impactful habits in their daily lives. The workshop concluded on a positive note, leaving students inspired to be more conscious and proactive in managing waste.
