On 20 May 2025, the Inter-House Debate Competition on the theme “Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG-11)” brought together spirited teams from across all four houses in the school auditorium. Maulik Garg (X A) and Anindita (XI B) of Horeb House clinched first place with their compelling argument for integrating green infrastructure and smart technology into urban planning. Guided by Mr. Akhil Varghese, Horeb House in-charge, and supported by Ms. Anisha and Ms. Sangini, the participants produced thoroughly researched case studies and demonstrated seamless teamwork that impressed both judges and peers alike.
Adithi A. Krishnan (XI B) and Kanishka (XI A) secured the runner-up position with a thoughtful exploration of inclusive housing policies and community-driven waste-management initiatives. Their articulate presentation not only highlighted the social dimensions of sustainability and underscored the importance of civic engagement in achieving SDG 11 goals, but also reflected the dedicated guidance of Senai House in-charge Ms. Pallavi and the invaluable mentorship of Ms. Neha Srivastava.
Anindita (XI B) of Horeb House was unanimously named Best Speaker for her eloquent delivery, persuasive reasoning, and ability to tie local action to global impact in her closing remarks. Heartfelt congratulations to all participants for their outstanding performances and to the adjudication panel for their insightful feedback and encouragement.
