“Let’s Save Our Planet!”
In celebration of Earth Day, St. John's School, Greater Noida West, organized a fun-filled and educational competition for kindergarten students. The event aimed to instill in young minds the importance of protecting our planet through engaging and age-appropriate activities.
The competitions were conducted class-wise, each designed to promote environmental awareness in a creative and joyful manner:
Nursery (Act as Fruit or Vegetable):
The tiny tots dressed up as colourful, juicy fruits and nutritious vegetables. With great enthusiasm, they shared the benefits of their chosen fruit or vegetable, spreading the message of healthy eating and natural living.
LKG (Tear and Paste Activity – Earth Theme):
Children used green and blue origami sheets to tear and paste on an Earth outline, creating a beautiful visual of our planet. This hands-on activity helped them understand the concept of Earth Day and the colours that represent land and water.
UKG (Earth Day Poster Making):
The young artists of UKG expressed their creativity by designing posters on the theme “Save Our Planet, Save Water.” Using crayons, markers, and paper, they conveyed strong messages about conserving natural resources in the most imaginative ways.
The event concluded with children proudly presenting their work and gaining a deeper understanding of environmental responsibility. The day was a perfect blend of learning and fun, helping sow the seeds of eco-consciousness in young hearts.
