"Let our hearts be filled with gratitude and love as we celebrate Eid together."
Eid is a joyous festival celebrated around the world, symbolizing prayer, gratitude, sharing, and love. It teaches us the values of compassion, unity, and generosity.
To help young learners understand the essence of this beautiful festival, St. John’s School, Greater Noida West, celebrated Eid with great enthusiasm on 11th April 2025 (Friday). The school campus came alive with festive cheer as the little ones arrived in vibrant traditional attire, spreading happiness all around.
To make the celebration meaningful and age-appropriate, children were shown a delightful story related to Eid. The story beautifully conveyed the spirit of kindness, charity, and the importance of celebrating with loved ones.
Each class engaged in creative, hands-on activities inspired by the festival:
Nursery children made charming moon and stars hangings, representing the crescent moon that marks the start of Eid.
LKG students created colourful lanterns, lighting up the mood with their bright and cheerful creations.
UKG children showcased their artistic flair with foil pasting on moon cutouts, learning about the symbols of Eid in an engaging way.
The celebration was a wonderful blend of culture, creativity, and joy. It offered children a valuable opportunity to learn about the significance of Eid while having fun. The day ended with happy faces, festive memories, and hearts full of warmth.
