On 19th October 2024, St. John’s School, Greater Noida West, organized a visit to Shanti Gram Vidyalaya, Gurugram, as part of its Sewa Programme. The delegation included Ms. Shipra Vohra (Senior Coordinator), Ms. Pallavi Saxena (School Counsellor), Ms. Bhawana Bose, Ms. Prateeksha (PGTs), Mr. Rajneesh (PTI), and 55 students from Classes 9th to 12th. The day focused on community support and empowerment.
The visit began with Ms. Shipra Singh distributing essential groceries to the school management, providing support to the community. This was followed by a captivating skit, Khwaisho Ki Udaan, performed by Class 9 students, which depicted the pursuit of dreams and overcoming obstacles. The performance resonated deeply, sparking meaningful conversations about resilience and determination.
Ms. Pallavi Saxena delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of education and career opportunities, motivating the students to set goals and strive for excellence. The peer mentors from Class 11 conducted interactive teaching sessions for younger students, encouraging curiosity and participation, which further strengthened the bond between both schools.
This visit was a heartwarming blend of kindness, education, and inspiration. It not only provided material support but also fostered hope, camaraderie, and empowerment, reminding all of the power of collective efforts in uplifting communities.
