The 78th Independence Day celebration at St. John’s School, GNW, commenced with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of national pride. The event was graced by two distinguished guests: Mr. Aditya Ghildyal, a dynamic HR leader at CNH Industrial with a notable career, and Mr. Sourabh Kumar Chauhan, Vice President of Cadila Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Ghildyal, known for his extensive work in industrial welfare, social impact, and promoting secularism, brought a wealth of inspiration to the event.
The celebration began with the guard of honor welcoming the guests, followed by the flag hoisting and the singing of the National Anthem. The school choir's rendition of the Lord's Prayer set a solemn tone for the occasion. The guests were then presented with tokens of gratitude.
A series of performances filled the day with patriotic fervor. The senior and junior choirs delivered stirring patriotic songs that resonated deeply with the audience. A skit portrayed the story of an NRI who, after years abroad, rekindles his connection to Indian culture, highlighting the significance of staying rooted in one's heritage. The senior students also performed a mesmerizing dance that captured the spirit of the day.
In his address, Mr. Ghildyal delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the role of students as the future of India and urging them to contribute towards making the nation a global superpower. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the Vice Captain, bringing a memorable and uplifting celebration to a close.
