“Freedom is not just about independence; it is about self-discovery and self-realization.”-Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
A vibrant and engaging competition was organized for kindergarten students at St. John's School, Greater Noida West, focusing on the theme of patriotism. This event provided an excellent platform for young children to express their love for the nation through song and dance, fostering both creativity and a sense of national pride.
The competition was structured in two rounds, allowing children from Nursery, LKG, and UKG to showcase their talents. The first round, held on 12th August( Monday), saw Nursery and LKG children singing Bal Geet (children’s songs) that resonated with the theme of patriotism. The young voices filled the atmosphere with a deep sense of respect and love for the country. Simultaneously, the UKG children took to the stage with solo dance performances, displaying their enthusiasm and energy in rhythmic movements that celebrated the spirit of India.
From the first round, a few children from each section were selected for the second round based on their performances. The second round took place on 14th August(Wednesday), where the selected children performed once again. This round not only showcased the children's growing confidence but also their ability to understand and interpret the theme in creative ways.
Overall, the competition was a great learning experience for the children. It not only allowed them to engage in the arts but also helped instill a sense of patriotism at an early age. The event was a beautiful amalgamation of learning and joy, leaving a lasting impact on the young participants.
