“Safety begins with ‘S’ (self) and ends with ‘Y’ (you)!!”
In our everyday lives, road safety carries a lot of importance, it teaches people how to conduct themselves while driving or walking on the roads. Road safety measures are aimed at reducing the risks of people getting involved in accidents..therefore, road safety education is as essential as any other basic skills of survival.
As St.John’s School prioritizes the safety of its children, a workshop on Road and Tyre Safety was conducted by Mr Parul Bhatia from Fun-Troos Ventures for class III-VI students on 04.10.2023.
It began with teaching some magic rules to the students through some easy to learn short forms like P.A.S.S, T.O.S.S and J.A.W.
Next in the line was a fun Traffic Freeze Dance Activity, where students danced their hearts out. The concept of green, yellow and red lights of the traffic and their denotations were taught to the students through this amazing dance activity.
There were more activities conducted with the students like solving the riddle about road signs and picking the correct picture depicting road safety measures. Students eagerly participated in all activities and got the opportunity to learn something crucial while enjoying themselves. The workshop ended with students getting the title of being safety ambassadors for their near and dear ones in order to spread awareness.
