*# Extravaganza Unfolds* As the vibrant petals of September unfurl, our school campus comes alive with the spirit of Onam, the harvest festival that we hold most dear to our hearts.
*#The Floral Symphony*
It was a Rainbow Kaleidoscope as our school's campus bloomed with a riot of colours when all the students, teachers, and admin staff adorned themselves in traditional attire, radiating the vibrant hues of Kerala. The spirit of Onam was palpable in every corner!
*#Pookalam Paradise:* The campus was transformed into a paradise of flowers with the breathtaking Pookalam. Our admin staff and teachers showcased their artistic flair by creating intricate floral patterns that left everyone awestruck. The fragrance of fresh Blooms lingered in the air, a testament to the beauty of nature's creations.
*#Feast Fit for Royalty:*
The Sadhya feast was a culinary masterpiece, where every dish was a symphony of flavours. Every bite was a gastronomic delight from the aromatic sambar to the sweet, velvety payasam….Served on banana leaves, it was truly a feast fit for the kings!
The cultural performances were the highlights of the day. Our teachers, who took centre stage that day, transported the audience to Kerala with their captivating dances and musical performances. The most energetic Pulikali dance was performed with such zeal and precision that it left the audience spellbound. Our Musical Mozart cast a spell with their enchanting rhythms that captivated the audience and left everyone tapping their feet to the beats of Kerala. The grace and precision of performers that day were truly commendable and added an extra layer of charm to our celebration.
*#Distinguished Chief Guest:* The Onam celebration in our school was a delightful blend of tradition, culture, and togetherness. With the presence of Hon'ble Chairman Reverend Father Aji K Chacko, respected Vice Chairman Mr. KP Varghese, Honourable Secretary Mr. Thomas P. Kurian- it became an event to remember. Mr. Thomas P Kurian delivered an enlightening and motivating speech emphasizing the importance of cultural preservation and the role of the younger generation in carrying forward the legacy. He commended the school's efforts in organizing such a vibrant celebration and encouraged everyone to actively participate in cultural activities. It was not only a day of festivities but also a day of learning and appreciation for our rich cultural heritage.
Also Ms. Reeja Ninan, the Principal, addressed the gathering and conveyed greetings and wishes for the festival. She lauded the commendable performances of the staff who took the initiative in organizing the event and thanked everyone for making the programme a memorable one.
At St. John’s we celebrated not just the festival but also the spirit of unity in diversity. Our Onam celebration was a beautiful reminder that we are a tapestry of cultures, woven together in harmony and love. Our school's Onam celebrations embody the values of unity, diversity, and harmony that we hold dear.
