The students of Class III, IV and V visited the National Science Centre on Friday, 25th August, 2023 along with their teachers. It is one of the largest science centers in Asia and it is popularly known amongst its visitors as, “A Dream Castle for One and All”. It is spread across four sprawling floors with eight galleries and several other sections for all age groups showing the wonders of science and technology.
The students visited various galleries, such as the Heritage Gallery, which contained exhibits about India’s profound and contribution to Astronomy, Mathematics, Chemistry, Medicine, Metallurgy, Art, Craft and Architecture. They also came across the gallery called Human Biology-The Miracle of Human Life, which showed the human body in all its aspects, namely, anatomical, physiological, biochemical, structural, systemic and functioning. They also saw models of extinct species like dinosaurs and the wooly mammoth in the gallery showcasing Pre-historic life.The students also enjoyed different educational shows and movies. The Holographic Movie explained the different systems of our body while the 3D Animal Planet- Show showcased the different water animals which enthralled the students.
The most enjoyable part of the visit was the Fun with Science gallery. The students spent time playing various science related games and walking through the hall of mirrors.
The educational trip was an enriching and exciting experience for the students. It helped them to explore, gain hands-on-knowledge and experience the many dimensions of science and the impact it has on our lives.
The trip followed by the tempting lunch in the “Indraprastha National Park.”
On the whole, the visit was very informative and enjoyable for the students.
