On August 29th, 2023, the kindergarten students of St. John's School in Greater Noida West, celebrated the vibrant and joyous festival of Onam with great enthusiasm. The day was marked by a special assembly dedicated to the festival, where the young children showcased their talents through beautiful dances, melodious songs and character depiction of King Mahabali, all centered around the theme of Onam.

 

The highlight of the celebration was a meticulously crafted board depicting the essence of Onam, showcasing the various elements associated with the festival. The colourful and intricate decorations on the board added to the festive atmosphere and allowed the children to visually connect with the cultural significance of Onam.

 

The assembly served as an educational platform for the students to learn about the importance of Onam and why it holds a special place in the hearts of people. Through engaging performances children grasped the essence of the festival and its cultural significance.

 

The young learners were able to absorb the message of unity, gratitude, and harmony that Onam represents. The celebration not only provided them with a fun and creative platform to showcase their talents but also helped them develop a deeper understanding of cultural traditions and values.
