On the 14th August 2023(Monday), the kindergarten department at St. John's School in Greater Noida West celebrated both Independence Day and Orange Day with immense excitement and pride.
The school premises were adorned with vibrant orange decorations, setting the tone for a colourful patriotic day.
The children arrived at school dressed in various shades of orange, creating a cheerful and lively atmosphere. They proudly displayed their orange attire, which symbolized creativity, enthusiasm, and energy. The Orange Day celebration aimed to raise awareness about objects associated with the colour orange and its importance in our lives.
As part of the celebrations, the children had brought a variety of tri-color foods, such as Poori , fried rice, sandwiches, chillas, idli , salads etc. These dishes not only showcased the colours of the Indian Flag but also provided a delicious way to teach the significance of unity and diversity to the young minds.
The festive spirit continued with the children's performances. They gracefully danced to the tunes of patriotic songs, expressing their love and pride for the country. The rhythmic movements and heartfelt performances left a lasting impression on everyone present.
The Nursery children were actively involved in a colouring activity centered around the National Flag. With their tiny hands wielding crayons, they carefully filled in the tricolour patterns of the Flag, showcasing their developing motor skills and attention to detail. The KG children, on the other hand, took their creativity a step further. They engaged in drawing and colouring their own versions of the National Flag. Their imaginative designs reflected their unique perspectives and artistic expressions.
The combination of Orange Day and Independence Day created an atmosphere of enthusiasm, patriotism and learning, fostering a sense of National pride while exploring the world of colours.
