It is said that personality is of major importance to make one’s mark in the society. An individual is identified through many aspects but most importantly on the basis of the personality. And a great personality consists of knowing how to dress well, social graces, speech, grooming, interpersonal skills etc.
To make students aware of the importance of Personality Development, a workshop for higher grade students was conducted at St. John’s School by Hindustan Times PACE on 06.05.2023(Saturday).
Crucial topics of Optimism, Respect, Behaviour, Patience, Anger, Responsibility, Communication, and Positivity were explained in an excellent way by the resource person Mr Lucky Puchhrat. With real life examples and quotes he captured the attention of students amazingly. By illustrating the picture of an orange on the smartboard, students were taught about the traits that lie inside of a person are what come out in his/her conduct.
Therefore the first step towards Personality Development is self-awareness because no one knows you better than yourself. Students were made to understand ‘caution’, which turns a person from being angry to being calm. A beautiful teaching was given about following the rule of “TNK” in day to day life. Under any circumstance, one should think over the three aspects of “Truth, Necessity and Kindness” in the situation before speaking/acting on it. Students agreed on the importance of little things that add up to be the reason for one’s self-improvement. The session ended with a wonderful lesson of The Marshmallow Test-Mastering Self-Control by the resource person. Students were elated to have attended such a fruitful session.
