"GREEN COLOUR DAY CELEBRATION"
"The Earth does not belong to man, Man belongs to the Earth"
"The Earth is the most powerful and energetic planet” Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam
Earth Day is an annual celebration that honours the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earth's natural resources for future generation. In order to mark the importance of nature, St. John’s kindergarten wing celebrated Green Colour Day on Friday,21st April 2023 as green is the colour of nature, life renewal and energy. The motive of celebrating green day was to make the students aware of how colour makes our world a better place and its significance. The students made Green Colour Crown activity inorder to showcase that Tiny tots are the GREEN WARRIORS of nature and will protect their mother planet Earth. To provide sensory experience to our kids for exploring this colour a leaf impression for KG and finger paint colouring activity for nursery was conducted. The importance of keeping Earth healthy were explained to the students with the help of short story and songs related to earth and green colour were taught. Student were gifted with badges with a slogan “GO GREEN” as a take away. Little champs were delightfully dressed up in Green attire. They were taught the identification and recognition of green fruits, vegetables, leaves and trees through nature walk. Earth day was celebrated in an engaging way to teach children about the importance of environmental sustainability. By starting early, we can instill in children a sense of responsibility and care for the planet, which will stay with them for years to come.
