‘The foundation for good parent teacher relationship is, frequent and open communication, mutual respect and clear understanding of what is best for each individual child” Keeping this in mind,St. John’s School Greater Noida West organized an orientation programme for the Kindergarten parents on 11th March 2023, Saturday for the new parents to familiarize them, with the curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, transport,teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities. The Orientation began with the thought, “Together may we give our children roots to grow and wings to fly.” The programme started with the blessings fom Almighty where the Prayer was led by the school choir and followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the parents by the kindergarten academic coordinator Ms. Betsy Aji followed by Swaraswati Vandana performed by class I and II students. The parents were briefed about the rules and regulations of the school. Later, respective teachers gave an overview of the various subjects and the activities which would be undertaken in the year ahead. Not to forget, the co-scholastic activities were also discussed that gave the parents an idea of the curriculum which is self-directed with hands-on learning activities. Parents were also given an insight of Live teaching sessions performed and demonstrated by English, maths and E.V.S teachers respectively followed by an energizing Yoga Asanas by our students of classes VI –VIII. Welcoming parents to the new academic session, Ms. Reeja Ninan - Principal, St. John’s School spoke at length about the benefits of effective communication between parents and teachers; she laid emphasis on a strong connection with the school patrons. She even sought support and suggestions from the parents to provide best education and growth opportunities to the children of the school, and shared few tips on good parenting. Moving further, she also spoke in detail about different ways of nurturing a child with love and care to build a strong foundation for a glorious future.
