“There is no denying that there are evils in this world but the light will always conquer the darkness.” - Idowu Koyenikan India has a rich culture and it is our responsibility to share the beauty of this culture with children. Festivals and stories are the best way to make children respect, understand and appreciate cultural differences. To enhance among our little ones, St. John’s kindergarten wing organized a fun filled and learning activity for Dussehra celebration. The tiny tots of Kindergarten began the celebration with morning assembly. Children came dressed in ethnic clothes and watched story on Dussehra. The children seemed to be excited as they made a puppet of Ravana. The celebration ended up with class party. The celebration was a part of our philosophy of ‘learning by doing’ Children learnt values of honesty, respect, humility and obedience, which are the core of our Indian epic, Ramayana. All the children enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the celebration. Thus the celebration not only enriched their learning but also made it memorable for our little ones which will be cherished for a long time
